MELBOURNE, FLA. - Simon brings the story of two vaudeville stars to life through his expertly crafted one liners and comedy galore. Melbourne Civic Theatre brings the story of two elderly vaudevillians, Willy Clark and Al Lewis, formerly partners known as "Lewis and Clark," who, having worked as a double act for some 40-odd years, and grew to hate each other. In the eleven years since Lewis retired, they have neither spoken to nor seen each other. Now, CBS is inviting the team to reunite for a special on the history of comedy. They will represent the vaudeville era at its best. At first, against it, Willie is convinced by his nephew, the agent, Ben Silverman to revive one of the old routines one last time. Unfortunately, getting the two cantankerous old actors into the same room for a rehearsal proves to be nearly disastrous and their shenanigans on the TV set are no less uproarious You can see this classic Neil Simon masterpiece March 8-25, 2007. Performances on Thursdays through Saturdays are at 8 p.m. and Sundays are at 2 p.m. Tickets are available through the MCT box office by calling 321.723.6935, and are $15 for adults, $13 for senior citizens, and $10 for students, children and military.
