Nine is a Tony Award-winning musical inspired by Federico Fellini’s 8½, filled with passion, romance, glamour, and unforgettable music. The story follows famed Italian film director Guido Contini as he navigates love, ambition, memory, and the many women who define his life.
Featuring a lush score by Maury Yeston, Nine is seductive, emotional and unapologetically bold.
This is a dream leading role opportunity for a male performer as Guido Contini, alongside a powerhouse cast of women with dynamic featured roles and a strong ensemble. There is an opportunity for a boy around the age of nine.
Auditioners should be prepared to:
*Sing from the score – a piece will be taught at auditions. Additional selections may be learned based on consideration of character. Sides will be available soon.
*Dance – a routine will be taught at auditions. Options for both “movers” and “dancers” will be available. Please wear clothes and shoes that allow for full range of movement.
*Read from the script – auditioners will do cold readings from the script.
